14 February 2015 During the 20th Polish Airmen and Defence Ball our Group displayed a static exhibition commemorating the 75th anniversary of Polish participation in the Battle of Britain. The exhibition was part of a historical display that included a vintage aeroplane from the Polish Aviation Museum in Cracow.|
7 February 2015 Our Group took part in commemorative celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the 'Death March' of prisoners from the Stalag Luft IV PoW camp at Tychowo/Podborsko.
25 October 2014 Group representation took part in the funeral of Stanisław Krzemiński, a veteran of 300 and 301 Squadrons, at Kule Cemetery in Częstochowa.
24 October 2014 A member of our Group took part in the unveiling of a memorial plaque to Gen. Merian C. Cooper, a founder of the ‘Kościuszko’ Squadron and a veteran of the 1920 Polish-Russian war, at Warsaw-Bemowo district town hall.
9 October 2014 Our Group participated in the 2nd ‘Unyielding Soldiers’ Week organised by the Independence Foundation and the LSM Cultural Centre in Lublin. Group members conducted a lecture about airmen hailing from the Lublin area and presented a display of uniforms and equipment of the exiled Polish Air Force.
20 September 2014 A member of our Group took part in ceremonies commemorating G/Cpt Zdzisław Krasnodębski, the patron of the Group of Educational Institutions at Wola Osowińska.
13 September 2014 Our Group participated in the ‘Wings of Glory’ air-historical picnic at Sobienie Królewskie near Warsaw. Jacek Mainka displayed his de Havilland Tiger Moth, Taylorcraft Auster and de Havilland Canada Chipmunk in the air and on the ground.
3 September 2014 Group representatives took part in the ceremony of unveiling of a memorial plaque commemorating the airmen who started their WW2 combat track in September 1939 at Zielonka airfield and fought for Poland’s independence. The plaque is located in the Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa at Zielonka. Then they took part in the opening of the Zielonka Museum, where a major part of the exhibition devoted to the air force and airmen has been prepared in cooperation with our Group. The celebrations were organised by Zielonka local authorities.
28 August 2014 Group representatives took part in Polish Aviation Day celebrations, and laid a wreath at the laid Memorial of Polish Airmen Killed during 1939-1945 in Pole Mokotowskie in Warsaw.
16 August 2014 Group representative took part in celebrations at Ossów, where a memorial was unveiled for the American flyers of the 7th ‘Tadeusz Kościuszko’ Squadron who fought in the Polish-Russian war in 1920. After unveiling of the memorial, the Group representative gave the US Ambassador in Poland and other guests a tour of the exhibition about Polish-American air force brotherhood-in-arms, that was prepared in cooperation with the Polish Air Force Museum at Dęblin.
15 August 2014 Our Group took part in the Polish Forces Day event organised at the Polish Military Museum in Warsaw.
12-13 July 2014 Our Group participated in the Fly Fest 2014 air picnic organised by the Piotrków Trybunalski Aero Club. Jacek Mainka displayed the Spitfire XVI in the air, and Wiesław Jedynak flew Jacek’s Taylorcraft Auster.
28-29 June 2014 Once more our Group took part in the ‘Małopolska’ Air Picnic at the Polish Aviation Museum in Cracow. We have displayed uniforms and equipment of the exiled Polish Air Force, while Jacek Mainka took part in the flying display at the controls of the Spitfire XVI.
27 June 2014 Group representatives accompanied Mr Jerzy Główczewski, a veteran of 308 Squadron, at the Polish Air Force Museum at Dęblin, during his meeting with Jacek Mainka, who has flown into the airfield there in the Spitfire XVI. On the occasion the aircraft was repainted in the markings of 308 Squadron with the code letter of the actual machine flown by Jerzy Główczewski during WW2.
23 June 2014 A member of our Group, Jacek Mainka, has become the first Pole ever to fly a Supermarine Spitfire to Poland. The Spitfire XVI is owned by Stephen Stead from UK. In subsequent weeks Jacek took part in several air shows, flying the Spitfire for the benefit of the public at Lublin, Dęblin, Cracow and Piotrków Trybunalski.
6 June 2014 A representative of our Group had a lecture about the participation of Polish airmen in the allied landings in Normandy in June 1944 during a scientific conference organised at the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw on the 70th anniversary of the operation, and then accompanied a veteran of 308 Squadron, Mr Jerzy Główczewski, during a radio broadcast related to the anniversary.
17 May 2014 Like every year, our Group took an active part in the Museum Night at the Polish Military Museum in Warsaw.
14 May 2014 We took part in funeral ceremonies of the ashes of G/Cpt Zdzisław Krasnodębski (the first commander of 303 Squadron) and his wife Wanda, brought over from Canada to be buried in Poland. The mass at the Polish Armed Forces Cathedral in Warsaw was concelebrated with the Bishop of the Polish Forces by father Błażej Woszczek, a member of out Group.
11 May 2014 Group representatives prepared an exhibition and took part in unveiling of a memorial plaque at Bystrzyca Stara near Lublin, commemorating F/O Jan Jakubowski, a pilot of 308 and 318 Squadrons, Polish AF. The ceremony was organised by the Strzyżewickie Towarzystwo Regionalne (Strzyżewice Regional Association).
2 May 2014 During the annual Polish National Flag Day celebrations at the Presidential Palace, two members of our Group, Robert Gretzyngier and Jacek Mainka, received flags from Mr Bronisław Komorowski, the President of the Republic of Poland, in recognition of their achievements in popularisation of Poland’s aviation.
29-30 March 2014 The Group took part in the 1st Forum :Historical Re-enactment” organised by Kielce Fair.
23-24 March 2014 Our Group participated in the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the ‘Great Escape’ from Stalag Luft III Sagan PoW camp. On 23 March we participated in the re-enactment organised at the museum at Żagań, and the following day in the international ceremonies at the memorial of the escape participants.

28 November 2013 Our Group was awarded the title of 'A Friend of the W/Cdr Marian Pisarek Primary School at Radzymin'. Group members received the award during celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the School.
24-25 November 2013 Our Group went to Cieszyn, to participate in a unveiling of a memorial plaque and in a scientific conference as part of centenary celebrations of the birth of S/Ldr Paweł Niemiec, a Polish fighter pilot born in that city.
11 November 2013 On the initiative of Grzegorz Zaleski, our Group's representative in Paris, to celebrate Poland's Independence Day, a French-language exhibition "Les Heroes Oublies" ("Forgotten Heroes"), dedicated to the Polish pilots fighting in France in 1940, was opened at the Polish Embassy in Paris. H.E. Ambassador Tomasz Orłowski assumed the honorary patronage of the exhibition. Teresa and Andre Zantara, children of Lt Stefan Zantara, a pilot of the Montpellier Group, were guests of the exhibition.
11 November 2013 Our Group took part in "Game for Independence 1863-2013" organised on Independence Day for visitors to the Polish Military Museum in Warsaw. We presented WW2 equipment of Polish airmen and explained the basic principles of aircraft recognition at the time.
23 October 2013 During a Historical Symposium that preceded the 9th National Assembly of the Polish Airmen Association a member of our Group gave a lecture on "Post-War Fates of the WW2 Exiled Polish Air Force personnel".

18 October 2013 The 11th Historical Session ‘Poles in Exile in WW2’ was held at No. 1 Secondary School Group at Stalowa Wola. Members of our Group were invited by the organisers, with lectures about the history of the Polish Air Force.
11 October 2013 The 4th Flight Training Wing Day was celebrated at Dęblin on the fifth anniversary of the forming of the unit, with participation of our Group members.
10 October 2013 A representation of our Group took part in the funeral of Lt Col. Włodzimierz Bernhardt, a veteran of WW2 Polish Air Force, who had participated in the airlift to Warsaw during the Uprising in 1944. Members of our Group held a guard of honour before the mass at the Polish Armed Forces Cathedral in Warsaw.
14-15 September 2013 The Group took part in ‘Bemowo on Air’ flying picnic at the Warsaw Aero Club airfield. The two-day event saw Jacek Mainka display his de Havilland Tiger Moth in the air four times. Members of the public were able to see this aircraft, as well as the Taylorcraft Auster on the ground, accompanied by a vast exhibition of WW2 Polish Air Force equipment.
9 September 2013 A representative of our Group took part in commemorative ceremonies for a crew of the 16th Bomber Flight of the Bomber Brigade, who were killed in combat at Radzymin on 7 September 1939.
7 September 2013 Members of the Group took part in funeral celebrations of Lt Franciszek Malczewski, a veteran of WW2 Polish Air Force. At the end of the ceremonies, Jacek Mainka made a flypast over the cemetery in his Taylorcraft Auster.
6 September 2013 Members of the Group took part in the launch of the ‘111’ game, published by the National Remembrance Institute, that is based on aerial fighting of the Pursuit Brigade over Warsaw in September 1939. The even took place in Warsaw.
1 September 2013 Our Group took part in an air fete at Piotrków Trybunalski Aero Club. During the unveiling and dedication of a memorial plaque commemoration the 100th anniversary of flying at Piotrków, representatives of the Group held a guard of honour at the plaque commemorating the patron of the Club, Brig. Gen. Stanisław Karpiński.
31 August 2013 At Caudebec-en-Caux our Group’s representative in France, Grzegorz Zaleski, took part in celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the death of Olgierd Iliński (killed on 16 August 1943). The mayor Mr Bastien Coriton, representatives of local veteran circles, Caux district military command and local Gendarmerie and 17 colour parties took part in the celebrations. The same day a book about Olgierd Iliński by local history enthusiasts was launched.
28 August 2013 Members of our Group took part in the annual official celebrations of the Polish Aviation Day. Group member, father Błażej Woszczek concelebrated a solemn mass at the Polish Armed Forces Cathedral. Then, members of the Group laid a wreath at the Memorial of Polish Airmen Killed during 1939-1945 in Pole Mokotowskie in Warsaw.
24-25 August 2013 The Group participated in the International Air Show in Radom. Jacek Mainka performed a flying display in his de Havilland Tiger Moth, and our Group re-enacted the life of WW2 Polish Air Force in a field camp around the Taylorcraft Auster.

30 June 2013 Members of our Group took part in celebrations at St Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Warsaw, when a memorial plaque was unveiled and dedicated to commemorate the airmen of the Pursuit Brigade who defended the sky over Warsaw in September 1939.
29-30 June 2013 During the 9th ‘Małopolska’ Air Picnic in Cracow our Group was represented by Jacek Mainka, who took part in the flying display with his Taylorcraft Auster. During the gala in the evening on 29 June Jacek received a ‘Tiger in WW2 Polish Air Force uniform’ statuette to mark the fact that his Tiger Moth has been Poland’s first warbird of a type flown by the Polish Air Force in Britain during WW2. The award was originated by Miłosz Rusiecki, a tireless supporter of our Group since its establishment.

The day closed with a launch of the book ‘Ci cholerni Polacy. Polskie Siły Powietrzne w Bitwie o Anglię’ (‘Those Bloody Poles. 20 May 2012 Our Group co-organised celebrations at Garbów near Lublin, connected with unveiling and dedication of a memorial to five outstanding aviators of WW2 Polish Air Force hailing from the Garbów parish: W/Cdr Wojciech Kołaczkowski, F/O Józef Wójcik, W/O Jakub Bargiełowski, W/O Tadeusz Świdziński and Sgt Bolesław Wejman. The memorial was erected as a project of the Polish Aviation History Foundation, our Group, and the Garbów Land Friends’ Society. Thanks to support from Garbów local authorities and extensive assistance of the Polish Air Force, the celebrations provided an opportunity to a whole-day outdoor event to promote the history and today’s activity of the Polish Air Force.

10 February 2012 Group members took part in celebrations to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the last flight of F/O Mirosław Ferić, a pilot of No. 303 Squadron, the patron of No. 11 Primary School in Ostrów Wielkopolski.
29 and 30 November 2011 We took part in the funeral celebrations of Gen. Tadeusz Sawicz. He has participated in Polish Air Force operations from the first till the last day of WW2, and died as the last Polish pilot who took part in the Battle of Britain (July-October 1940).
25 November 2011 Group members took part in the opening of an exhibition about Polish Air Force in France in 1939-1940, organised at the Muzeum Górnośląskie in Bytom. The exhibition has been prepared by friends of our Group, historians Bartłomiej Belcarz and Marek Ryś.
11 November 2011 We took part in the Independence Day parade of reenactment groups in Warsaw. We used two wartime vehicles made available to us by our friends from the Stowarzyszenie Tradycji i Historii Oręża Polskiego i UE "Rudy" (Polish and European Arms History and Traditions Association) from Komaszyce.
10 November 2011 Our Group has conducted history lessons at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński Municipal High School in Zielonka near Warsaw. The pupils learned about the history of the airfield at Zielonka, and about the scope of effort of the Polish Air Force from 1939 until the end of WW2. About 400 pupils participated in the lessons and they were also able to take part in competitions and win prizes.
21 September 2011 Group members accompanied Mrs Jadwiga Piłsudska-Jaraczewska to the airfield at Konstancin near Warsaw. Duiring WW2 she was an ATA pilot in Britain, ferrying numerous types of military aircraft. Now, 70 years later, she joined Jacek Mainka for a flight in his Taylorcraft Auster, which is finished in wartime Polish Air Force markings.
19 September 2011 Group representatives took part in the official launch ceremony of the Hawker Hurricane replica at the Arkady Fiedler Museum in Puszczykowo near Poznań.

Our exhibition included a panel display that presented the participation of Polish airmen in defence of Britain. A member of our Group took part in the launch of the "303 Squadron" game.
14 May 2011 During the Warsaw Museum Night we have displayed an exhibition about the WW2 Polish Air Force at the Polish Military Museum.
8 May 2011 A member of the Group took part in celebrations of WW2 victory anniversary at Dieppe, France. Following a meeting with veterans, who stressed the role of Polish Air Force units in the fighting there in 1942, a wreath laying ceremony took place at the Memorial to the Fallen in the city centre. Polish Embassy was represented by the Consul, Mr Kwiatkowski and by the representative of our Group, Grzegorz Zaleski.
28 April 2010 School Day of the 'W/Cdr Marian Pisarek' Primary School was celebrated at Radzymin. Group members attended a mass at the Collegiate Church of Transfiguration of Our Lord and the celebrations at the school.

15 April 2011 A Group representative took part in unveiling of a memorial to F/O Olgierd Iliński, No. 308 Sqn Polish AF, at Caudebac-en-Caux (France), where he was killed. A street leading towards the moor where his Spitfire crashed was officially named after F/O Iliński. This is a second memorial dedicated to the memory of the Polish pilot (the first one was erected at the crashsite).

29 November 2010 Group members took part in the official closure of the exhibition "Polish Airmen in the Battle of Britain 1940. 70the anniversary of the defence of Britain's skies 1940-2010" displayed at the Polish Military Museum in Warsaw. During the meeting we had lectures about G/Cpt Stanisław Wandzilak (who's death's 10th anniversary it was), the Battle of Britain and the role of Polish pilots in it, and about the ways of remembrance and commemoration of the WW2 Polish Air Force in the West. The event was reported in major Polish TV news programmes.
29 October 2010 Group representatives attended a ceremony at Radzymin to honour Polish airmen killed in the Battle of Britain. A solemn mass at the Collegiate Church of Transfiguration of Our Lord was followed by a concert performed by pupils of the 'W/Cdr Marian Pisarek' Primary School at Radzymin, and then a member of our Group has read the Roll of Honour.
23 October 2010 a memorial to Polish airmen and special troops parachuted into occupied Poland during WW2 was unveiled at Łosinno near Warsaw. A representation of our Group participated in the ceremony.

15 September 2010 We were invited to the Battle of Britain Day party organised by the British Ambassador in Warsaw. Polish Air Force WW2 veterans were guests of honour, and a special flypast over the venue was made by the Tiger Moth T7230 flown by Jacek Mainka. The aircraft is the sole WW2 RAF warbird in Poland, originally delivered to the RAF in September 1940.
27 August 2010 We paid our homage to the Polish Air Force personnel killed in WW2 during the official celebrations of the Polish Aviation Day. During the garden party that followed at the Polish Air Force HQ we were able to meet WW2 veterans, Cols. Edward Jaworski and Jan Janczak.
3-4 July 2010 Waddington Air Show As part of the Battle of Britain 70th anniversary celebration we gladly accepted the invitation to Waddington Air Show. Unable to carry all our hardware across Europe, we have prepared a multi-panel exhibition od the Polish Air Force's WW2 effort. The exhibition was then handed over to the Polish consul, to be shown in various places of the Polish community in Britain.
26-27 June 2010 We could not miss the 7th Małopolski Air Picnic at the Polish Aviation Museum in Cracow.
19 June 2010 We went to Dęblin for the 85th anniversary celebrations and air show at the Polish Air Force College.
12-13 June 2010 We took part in the 15th International Air Picnic at Góraszka near Warsaw. Our airfield diorama included the very real de Havilland Tiger Moth owned by group member Jacek Mainka and a vast display of our kit. We were visited by veterans, Col. Franciszek Kornicki and Col. Jerzy Mencel, with whom we have been in touch for years. On Sunday we were forced to temporarily move stations to Babice airfield, the base of Supermarine Spitfire VB BM597 JH-C during the show. The two veterans, both of whom have flown BM597 during WW2, were reunited with their kite, and we were there to provide the atmosphere.
5-6 June 2010 Invited by a Czech reenactment group we took part in the air show at Pardubice in the Czech Republic, celebrating the centenary of Czech aviation. Our first foreign escapade was a great success, we have made many new friends, lived under canvas throughout the event, and participated in a Battle of Britain episode reenactment (Hurricane scramble to intercept a strafing Messerchmitt).
15/16 May 2010 During the Museum Night we held a live history display at the Polish Military Museum in Warsaw.
29 April 2010 We took part in School Day celebrations at 'W/Cdr Marian Pisarek' Primary School at Radzymin. Members of the Group attended a solemn mass, following which we had meetings with pupils, introducing them to everyday life of a Polish airman in Britain during WW2. We have donated a replica of W/Cdr Marian Pisarek's service dress to the school's history room.
12 September 2009 We participated in the unveiling of the memorial plaque to the patron of Piotrków Trybunalski Aero Club, Gen. Stanisław Karpiński.
29 August 2009 We took part in the Air Show 2009 organised by the Polish Air Force.
